Common photo & signature sizes

Different forms ask for different dimensions. These are some of the most commonly requested. Always check the exact requirement on your specific form, since boards and portals vary.

How resizing works here

The tool redraws your image onto a canvas at the exact pixel dimensions you choose, using your browser's built-in image engine. If you also set a maximum KB size, it then compresses the resized image — searching for the right quality so the file lands at or just below your limit, never over. With "keep aspect ratio" ticked, it scales proportionally so faces and signatures are not stretched.

All of this runs locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded, so it is instant and private — which matters when the file is an ID photo or a signature.

Tips

Frequently asked questions

Is my photo uploaded to a server? +
No. Resizing and compression happen entirely inside your browser. Your file never leaves your device, which makes it both instant and private — ideal for ID photos and signatures.
Can I resize and hit a KB limit at the same time? +
Yes. Set the width and height for the dimensions, and fill the optional "Max size (KB)" field. The tool resizes first, then compresses to land at or just under your KB limit.
Will my photo look stretched? +
Not if you keep "aspect ratio" ticked — it scales proportionally. Untick it only when a form requires exact dimensions that differ from your image's natural shape.
What output format do I get? +
The resized image is delivered as a JPG, the most widely accepted format for form uploads and the smallest for photos.
Does it work on a phone? +
Yes — it works in any modern mobile browser, so you can prepare a photo for a form straight from your phone.
